Well first off let me apologize right of for any miss spellings as I am a drywaller.That said tell me if I'm wrong the union was formed back in the day to protect the employee from the contractor to keep them from taking advatage of the employee.Back then it was probably a good thing.It was formed by the worker for the worker.Now today we have a sub contractor that is well establised has built a lot of knoxville by being honest,fair,who employees are for the most part happy.They work hard for thier living and livly hood 20 plus year for this company.All of the sudden this union comes along and tries to the these workers there not being treated right and we need to jion them and give them 4% of our wage and pay 30 dollars a month dues in return they gurrantee us a lower wage less insurrance, no security of our future.We thank God our employer gave us the vote to whether we wanted to be union or not and we choose not.Ive been with this company 15 years I've never been layed off my wage and benifits have always been up too standard the unoin has topped thier hourly wage at 15.50hr on an average this company pays 1 to 5 dollars an hour more we have a better insurrance plan than they do. a weeks payed vacation our birthday off payed,401k and yearly bounuses.I wonder if our UNION compeditor still pays thier workers what they used to or are they all at the new lower pay scale set by the UNION that they were forced there employees into?????So who is destoying the AMERICAN DREAM for the working man UNION. Now lets talk about a study that was done about job targeting were the union pays union sub contractor to under bid there competion driving the industry down and trying to put the none union companies out of bussiness or force them to become union.The company I work for is the best drywall company I've ever worked for we take care of our own.If more owners treated there employees the way that ours does the American people would be alot better off we work together!!!Local #50 SHAME ON YOU
