I'll admit I do not fully comprehend the intricacies involved in this debate. Living in Illinois for most of my life (where liquor, wine & beer are sold everywhere i.e. grocery stores, Walgreens, gas stations, etc.) there are plenty of liquor stores operating quite profitably. Most people, it seems to me, utilize the grocery store for the quick purchase of wine or liquor, but shop at the liquor store with much more intent. Usually large quantity shopping or high end products. I am in favor of wine in the grocery store as well as beer/wine sales on Sundays. It would be nice to purchase ice at the liquor store. I get the space issue Thad Cox refers to, however, it seems some space will be available once it is clear what inventory is no longer "moving", thereby opening up the room for food and other drinking necessities. Just saying. Seems like everyone can win here.
