Chris Barrett, Thanks for your article on Green Housing. There is much more activity here than most folks know about, your article certainly helps. The more awareness we create the more likely these good ideas will become main stream. I would like to add a comment about our overall housing inventory. While I admire these projects for new home construction, new homes represent less than 10% of our home market. If we are to make a significant dent in our energy use we need to address the efficiency of existing homes. The same whole house concepts that iHome and ORNL have developed need to be focused on all of our buildings. There is a rumor that TVA will soon launch a more robust Energy Right program to help homeowners become more green. I hope they do because, so far, we have had poor results in getting homeowners to buy into improving their home energy efficiency. Thanks again for spreading the word.
