Written on What? No Rush?:

Please be accurate. Fluke testified supporting the availability of free contraception, not the availability of contraception.

There is no dispute as to the availability of contraception. Her position, and Rush's objection, is that it should be "free," i.e. the insurance companies don't charge the women for it - which means all of the other insureds pay for it in higher premiums - because, even if the ACA dictates that insurance companies can't charge for the drugs, it doesn't mean that suddenly they are produced and distributed at no cost.

Is it really that hard to be factual?

Written on Let it Go?:

It is a bit offensive and thin-skinned of the mayor to presume that someone who has been in public office for as many years a Ashe - and in her very position - does not have something to add to the conversation. To dismiss him in such a manner show very little class indeed.

Written on Down By Law? TABC Says Valarium's Closure Not Related To Any New Changes in the Law:

Gary Mitchell should have spent more time being a business man and stop looking for excuses for his failures.

Who is the moron going to sue?

Written on For Gleaves, Time to Collect :

When Repubicans leave, it is "cashing in." Wonder what it is when Democrats do it?

Written on More Hell to Come for Burchett in Divorce?:

"too difficult for anyone else to organize to run"????

I would have taken only 25 signatures to get on the ballot.

Unopposed in the August primary - they would have had until NOVEMBER to run the general election. I could get my dog on that ballot and get 25% of the vote against Hutch.

Quit shilling for the pathetic Democrats.

They are so inept, they can only whine about Burchett's soon-to-be ex-wife and her stealing from his campaign fund.

Written on Hurley "Air Swimming" Against Political Tide?:

not sure what is worse . . . Hurley being an idiot or you relying on Hornback for reporting information.

Both are pretty pathetic.

Written on Park Overall vs. Sen. Bob Corker:

That's all you give Fred credit for? Being an actor? That little law career he had going wasn't a bit more prepratory than being an actor?

Written on Joe Jarret For County Law Director:

You are right - Law Director is complicated. It is hard to explain to people what he does. And the press is not very curious about it either.

Maybe you should ask Jarret why he approved the Trustee's salary suits (2 years plus an amendment) with the bonuses in there for employees who hadn't earned them. JDIII needs to clean house, but Jarret needs to come clean on his "advise and counsel" to the Trustee.

He also needs to explain why he took 3 different positions on the mayor's attempt to take over the fee office budgets.

And then there was the bad advice he gave the mayor on severance payments.

Jarret may have experience on paper - but what good is that if he can't figure out that right answer?

Actually, you have to live in the District on Election Day.

Written on Judge Swann Gets a Bad Press Release:

Swann needs to go - he is arbitrary and capricious in his rulings, his demeanor, and in the schedule he keeps (only 100 days a year)
