4th and Gill is connected to downtown via a trolley. It is called the #23 KAT route, and it runs right up and down Luttrell St. every hour until 11:15. Middle class commuters desire for light rail and their unwillingness to ride the KAT is not based on KAT's lack of convenience....it is rather (dare I say?) based on race, class, and other preconceived notions of who else is riding the bus. Get over it, Knoxville, and KATch on.
