I actually had this conversation with a friend the other day who was blaming the gas retailers announcing that there might be a shortage for the panic buying. I disagree. When the announcement came out, we all knew that the hurricane had not hit yet so there was not a 100% chance that there would be a shortage, but what did we do anyway....rush to the pumps and panic buy. Instead of being happy now that the pumps were not hit we are upset??? This makes no sense. we should be happy the crisis only lasted a dew days instead of the time it could have.
