Written on A Revamped KSO Marks Its Return With a Vibrant Interpretation of Beethoven:

The Coriolan Overture and the 3rd Concerto were well done. The 3rd Symphony was a disaster. It was played much too slowly and was so boring I just about decided to leave half way through it.

I'm from Chicago and am used to superior performances by the CSO. The KSO, while not the CSO, compares very favorably with the CSO. Maestro Richman has done a great job with this orchestra. He has been well supported by Knoxville and we are proud of this orchestra.

However, IMHO his interpretation of the Eroica was seriously flawed.
