Yes, the chicken portrait by Moneyham was priceless.

You can view it here: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wxExjWSBic4...

To see the rest of the pics goto the blog http://knoxvilleindependent.blogspot.com
and scroll to the post KCP = Chicken Sh-t.

I'd post the url to it, but the url is uncensored and therefore the comment software will not allow me to post it on here.

I believe he made it himself. They're not technically associates of mine. I had just met them. But I am glad to see someone reported on it.

Agreed, but here are the figures I have come up with:

$3.78 = WHOLESALE PRICE
add .40 cents for state and federal taxes.
add about 7 or 8 cents for credit card fees.
add about 10 cents for transportation costs.

$4.36 is the grand total, perhaps I use some fuzzy math.

$4.99 and 9 tenths
minus $4.36
Equals 64 cents profit.

Or in the case of BiLo Market on Martin Luther King Jr. Street:

$5.67 - $4.36 = $1.31 profit!

I can understand supply and demand, but 64 cents on a 10 gallon purchase is $6.40. Multiply that by thousands.

Written on Reasonable Doubt:

Very good article. I wasn't able to get any information from the AG's office.

But I wish someone had asked Mr. Wright about his statement, "In cities such as Chicago, the price is already at more than $5 per gallon."

That was so far from the truth. I contacted Pilot about this, but could only get to the manager of Customer Service and he completely ignored my question.

You can check out more about Pilot's false statement about Chicago at http://ktownliberal.blogspot.com/2008...

And emails from Bredesen, Burchett Pilot and much more about the situation at http://ktownliberal.blogspot.com

Very good reporting though. Glad to see someone is getting information on this.
