How far have we come?

GLBT people still aren't covered by the Civil Right Act 1964.

A bill that would give them very limited rights only in employment... might make it through the Senate, but might not. It certainly won't make it through the House.

And the Tennessee state legislature has recently made it illegal for any cities and counties to provide GLBT any protections at all, repealing the existing ones in the process

When it comes to basic civil rights in TN, GLBT people have gone backwards, and a long way.
