Written on The Reed Family's Alien Nightmare:

I worked with Tom as the artist of the alien rendition featured in the article. I have to say the experience was unlike anything else I had ever drawn. Several key descriptions and heavy insistance on detail made it apparent this thing was real. At revision 30 or so we had an image that could have been sold easily as an alien, but, even missing several deadlines for UFO conferences and small publications, Tom insisted the image just wasn't an accurate reflection of what he had witnessed. I have to say that if I didn't believe his story before, missing out on occasions to be published and attract further attention says absolutely everything. This incident, unlike so many others on the topic of alien abduction, resides in the real. My hat's off to Mr. Gibson for writing such a fantastic article concerning the event, far removed from the tabloid stigma which serves to automatically discount the few real stories. Tom's story deserves such a treatment, and I applaud the respect and penmanship.
