Written on Open-Air Market on North Broadway Stirs Discontent Among Neighborhood Homeowners:

What is so interesting, is that I was looking to rescue a pit bull puppy when I can across the 10th Kingdom Animal Rescue on petfinder.com. After emailing and setting up a time to fill out an application, Jack told me to meet him at the open air market on Brodway. I have never been there before, so I didn't really know what to expect. When we get there, there are the 4 puppies. I just came to "adopt" one puppy and he was trying to barter with the price for us to take 2. There was also some random guy trying to sell us a pit/american bulldog puppy. The mother dog was out back in the freezing 20 degree weather with no food or water, I am unsure if he just put her out there just for the amount of time to meet him and look at the puppies. The puppies were very malnourished, my puppy's hip bones were protruding and ribs showing. They were also very food aggressive. It was very apparent that they had been neglected. The vet said she had rittgers in her front legs where her bones were underdeveloped from malnourishment. I don't really know what kind of alleged animal rescue this is, but I know that I rescued my baby puppy from these people. We contacted people to investigate them, but I am unsure if anything ever happened. I do know that they don't have anymore animals listed on petfinders. It was really really sad actually!
