Since there has been a legitimate question raised about the accuracy of the report by Gervin, I thought I would check the financial reports as submitted by the candidates to the state as required by law. These reports are made public and anyone review them. Just to set the record straight here are the actual reports without any bias reporting:

Hutchinson has received $9,150 in contributions plus $1,565 in-kind contributions for a total of $10,715 with no loans from the candidate. His campaign has spend $8,235.67 including the in-kind contributions leaving a balance of $2,479.33 as the June 30, 2012 reporting date.

Kane has recieved a total of $2570 in contributions plus $817 in-kind contributions and a loan of $3,943.25 from the candidate for a total of $7,330.25. His campaign had expenditures of $4179.21 leaving a balance of $3,151.42 as of June 30.

McCulley had contributions of $1,600 with no in-kind contributions and a loan from the candidate of $8,000 for a total of $9,600. His campaign had expenditures of $4,029.88 leaving a balance of $5,570.12 as of June 30.

Pierce had contributions of $1,526 and an additional contribution of $1,800 by him and his wife for a total of $3,326 with no in-kind contributions. His campaign had expenditures of $3,046.79 leaving a balance of $279.21 as of June 30, 2012.

As Paul Harvey used to say: That is the rest of the story. And note that the candidates was listed as they will appear on the ballot without any bias shown.

conacon you must be new to reading the Pulse and Garvin. When someone mentions her name and 'reporter' in the same sentence everyone laughs!
