Written on Romper Room, a nationally franchised, locally produced show for kids, shown here on WBIR in the earl:

This was "Miss Margaret" Jeffries. She hosted Romper Room at WBIR is 65-66 or so. Her husband Don, was a staff director there. I replaced him as a director when they moved away in September 1966. Six weeks later, I was drafted. Came back to WBIR as a director in August 1968, after my tour in Viet Nam.

Written on City Councilman/grocer/promoter Cas Walker hosted shows on all three stations, but may be best known:

Bud Brewster on banjo, Fred Smith (of Red & Fred) on guitar. Red Rector is on mandolin behind them. Also in the studio that day - most likely - Willie G. Brewster, Claude Boone, and Honey Wilds.

I rode a bicycle down that hill in 58 or 59. One of the stupidest things I've ever done!
