The only proper response from the city would be a copy of the NC-1 ordinance with the applicable parts underlined. The negotiations took place 13 years ago and the purchase of the buildings was made in bad faith. The "compromise" should be limited to helping sell the properties.

Short sighted decision by the bean counters. This project could do a lot for the redevelopment and tax base for the whole neighborhood, but it's not going to happen if the residents aren't physically and financially able to participate. Similar projects are already economic dead zones and Knox High deserves better.

How can you write about the katbus.com site and not mention how astoundingly useless it is? I wouldn't care if it had pictures of Mars on the front page if it was somehow possible to figure out when a bus was going to arrive at a certain stop without downloading two pdf files. As far as I can tell it's impossible to get anything useful other than the telephone number with an Android phone.
