I grew up in Southeastern Kentucky, and Knoxville was always the place to go to buy anything big or expensive, so I've always associated Knoxville with shopping, not so much vacationing. I love the idea of a place where you can go and do nothing at all, although I would make a suggestion to add the old-fashioned "gliders" to the rocking chairs, and probably hang porch swings where possible. Plus, some people are naturally not sitters, so you have to make something for them to do, preferably away from the crowds of relaxers. I suggest big fields where those who need to can run back and forth, yelling and maybe throwing balls and frisbees around until they drop. Then they can be rounded up and plopped down in the rockers/gliders/swings to enjoy the quiet with the rest of us, at least until their natural hyperactivity starts up again.
