2nd Annual Salvage Show

6 p.m.- 9 p.m., 36 Market Square. Free.

Knox Heritage presents functional design pieces by 19 local artists, architects, students, and designers, with each work incorporating architectural salvage to promote the creative re-use of historic building materials. You'll also be able to get a look at Market Square's latest renovation.

Saturday, April 7

Spring Plant Sale

9 a.m.-2 p.m., University of Tennessee Gardens (Neyland Drive).

This fund-raiser for UT Gardens will allow you to add some scientific zing to your garden with some unique and cutting-edge plants—not to mention rain barrels, garden art, and outdoor ornaments.

Rationalists of East Tennessee Book Club

4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Barnes & Noble Booksellers.

Members of the Rationalists of East Tennessee meet to discuss Peter Corning's The Fair Society. Please join—we could use all the rationalism we can get around here.

City of Knoxville's Annual Action Plan

6 p.m., Cansler YMCA (616 Jessamine St.)
