The City of Knoxville has procurement dollars aplenty, and would like to spend them at local businesses. So if you happen to own a local business, then maybe you should attend this information fair to learn how to compete for supplying city needs like: appliances, beverages, fuel, janitorial services, landscaping supplies, office furniture, trucks, and more. Public Officer Hearing

9:30 a.m., City County Building, Small Assembly Room.

The city's war on blight continues. This week, 19 residential properties and one commercial property are on the agenda. Public Service Department Director David Brace will hear testimony from city inspectors on each building's codes violations. 1st Annual Steampunk Carnivale

7 p.m., Paulk & Co. (510 Williams St.) $10.

So, can a sub-genre of speculative fiction inspire enough Knoxville fandom to support an entire festival? Let's find out! Emceed by JC Haun of the Black Liver Society and SassyFrass America, the mini-fest will feature performances by Biz'Cirque, The Wing Project, Appalachian Flow Arts, Sandsation Dancers as well as members of Salome Cabaret. Knoxville's gone beer crazy! This culmination of Craft Beer Week is a full-on hops blow-out.
