"I've said that I think Tennessee could run a state exchange cheaper and better, and my natural inclination is to keep the federal government out of our business as much as possible."

Gov. Bill Haslam in a Dec. 10 statement explaining his decision to, instead, not have the state government run its own health insurance exchange under the Afordable Care Act. Voicing his suspicion that the Obama administration is "making this up as they go," Haslam has put it in the hands of the federal government.
