Ever Ancient, Ever New: Romanesque in Knoxville

In the suburb of Farragut just west of Knoxville, Tenn., St. John Neumann Parish is ignoring the 20th Century and joining the nascent revival of ancient church architecture, in this case, Romanesque. Amen.

This new church has everything from a great belfry, to a dome, to a grand choir loft, to great details like hand carved column capitals. It's truly refreshing…

When was the last time you saw a new parish church with a dome?
