Rejuvenate magazine—"the only independently produced magazine for planners and suppliers of faith-based events"—visited Knoxville recently for one of its city spotlights, and writer Lesley Grissum liked what she found. And, dare we say it, she actually gets our mini downtown's vibe in her Feb. 19 article: "The laid-back, unpretentious town offers more than a beautiful landscape. It was local before local was trendy, and that charm does plenty to attract meetings." In Knoxville's recent renaissance, rediscovering our localness was nearly as important as finding gutsy developers to refurbish our empty buildings. And if it gets us more meetings, the more the merrier.
