Dirty Guv'nahs Announce Two-Night Stand at the Bijou in September

It’s simple supply and demand—the Dirty Guv’nahs are the most popular local band in Knoxville (a scientific fact, verified by their seven-year reign as the Best Band in Metro Pulse’s annual Best of Knoxville survey), and they don’t play here very often anymore. So when they announce a pair of upcoming shows at the Bijou Theatre, it’s news.

The Guv’nahs are returning to the Bijou for the first time in two years on Sept. 5 and 6 to kick off their fall tour in support of their most recent album, Hearts on Fire, released in March. (They’ve played New Year’s Eve shows at the Tennessee Theatre the last two years.) It will be the band’s second hometown show this year, following an appearance at the University of Tennessee’s end-of-the-academic-year blowout Volapalooza at Thompson-Boling Arena in April.

Tickets for the Bijou shows go on sale Thursday, July 24, at knoxbijou.com.
