4620 Space Gets Makeover as the Well

The eccentric downstairs bar/restaurant/music space at 4620, previously home to Velvet and two iterations of a club called 4620, is getting another makeover this month. Gina Truitt, former manager of the '90s West Knoxville club the Spot and music promoter for Sunspot and Barley's Taproom, will unveil the Well this weekend with a soft opening featuring performances by blues-rock madman Jon Worley's Cornbred Roadshow (Friday, Jan. 13) and local singer/songwriter Brandon James Wright (Saturday, Jan. 14).

The official grand opening is set for the following weekend, with Matt Woods, Prison Book Club, and Roman Reese (Friday, Jan. 20) and El Dorado, Some Dark Holler, and Big Wooly (Saturday, Jan. 21). The Well opens daily at 4 p.m., with a full-service kitchen and live music starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Weeknight admission is free; weekend shows are $5. The club is 21 and up.
