Hey, it's not every day we have a home team in the Super Bowl.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, playing Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, have as one of their partners Jimmy Haslam, the CEO of Pilot Corp. Haslam bought into the team earlier in the season in a deal that allowed the Rooney family of Pittsburgh to retain majority control when some family members opted out.
When Haslam bought into the Steelers, it appeared that the Tennessee Titans would be suiting up Sunday—they had the best record in the NFL before getting put out in the playoffs by the Baltimore Ravens.
There are NFL owners who have never been to the Super Bowl, but Haslam can sit in the owner's box during his first season as an owner. The game in Tampa begins Sunday night at approximately 6:30.
The Haslams also own the Tennessee Smokies, the AA baseball team that plays in Sevier County.
