New Digs for Intimate Treasures

A sign that's more visible and an easier-access parking lot will be the outcome when Intimate Treasures moves down the road from its Bearden location of nine years on Friday, Jan. 29. Now it will be at 7212 Kingston Pike, right past Olive Garden and before the Gallery traveling west. "This building's a lot nicer, the fixtures are new, the space looks fresher," says nine-year store manager Michelle McMurry. They'll still have the romantic attire and massage oils and such in the more public area, and the overtly adult-themed videos and sex toys in a blocked off space, says McMurry, a set-up that makes shopping more comfortable for couples and women. One thing probably won't change at the new store, she says: "Every single time I tell someone where I work, they think I'll have all these crazy stories. But I don't. I seem to meet lots of normal, nice people."
