  • Tina Inge Bentrup was the first to indentify the statue and the park in which it resides. She writes, 'The MetroGnome is sitting in the lap of the Alex Haley statue at Morningside Park in East Knoxville.' Yep.
  • Leslieann Gilbert was the first to respond with the correct and complete name of the location: 'I believe the MetroGnome is at the Miniature and Dollhouse Shop in Knoxville on Homberg Drive.'
  • Marie Alcorn responded at lightening speed with her somewhat terse answer: 'Gnome is at Mabry Hazen House.'
  • The big winner here is John Craig, who wrote a very specific description, albeit in non-sentence form: 'Former location of Pendergrass Family Show repair. On Union, under Arby's.'
  • Randy Mansfield was the first to answer! He writes, 'The picture was taken at the cemetary of First Presbyterian Church on State Street in downtown Knoxville. It was founded in 1792 and James White is buried there. This could be his tombstone.' And it IS his tombstone, Randy!
  • Becca Berry writes, 'Howdy! I think the MetroGnome is at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens! :)' She's right.
  • Our first contestant with the correct answer was Russell McCurdy,  who asked, 'Is the gnome at the Sutherland Ave entrance to the 3rd creek greenway?' Yes, Russell McCurdy, you are CORRECT!
