Every year, more and more consumers who may find things they like in local stores are instead going online or out of town to actually buy these items. This is taking money out of our local economy that we can't afford to lose.
Shop Knox is a movement to bring attention to the benefits of keeping our shopping dollars in Knoxville. We suggest shoppers first try to buy the gifts they are looking for in stores or on websites located in our city. We do not advocate boycotting national chains as their local stores employ our friends and relatives who spend their paycheck locally supporting the economy of Knoxville.
