These two old warehouses on the edge of downtown, formerly the Orpheus and the Electric Ballroom, have been transformed into state-of-the-art concert venues. The Valarium specializes in national headlining alt-rock bands, electronic jam bands, and heavy metal, as well as hosting Tokyo GoGo, the city’s biggest Saturday dance event; the adjacent Cider House is a more intimate space for smaller—but no less noteworthy—bands.
