This North Knox classic introduced the concept of the salsa bar, which is so good it’s tempting to see if you can get away with enjoying a free meal of chips and a diversity of salsas. It also offers an authentic selection of genuine Mexican foods, with everything from la lengua (if you don’t know, you don’t want to know) to Menudo (ditto), and other surprising experiences that may challenge Gringo definitions of what constitutes Mexican. (Try the tilapia, or the ceviche.)
