From YUMMM!, the Metro Pulse Restaurant Guide:

Modern life can be a struggle—work routines, stress, and worry form a united front to make life tense, if not downright unpleasant at times. Fortunately, there are ways to fight back. Good food, exciting diversions like sports and games, and of course really cold beer and well mixed drinks all contribute to a sense of well-being in an otherwise up-tight world. If that sounds like you, then you’ll be happy to know that many of your stress-reduction therapies live under one roof at Rooster’s.

Located in the heart of Rocky Hill, Rooster’s is a popular destination for good times—in fact, it’s been voted Best Sports Bar in Metro Pulse’s Best of Knoxville so many times that they could retire the number if Rooster’s wasn’t getting better all the time.

Of course, it’s a fantastic sports bar, with over 65 TVs and subscriptions to every major sports league, from the NFL Sunday Ticket and MLB’s League Pass to MLS Direct Kick and the NHL’s Center Ice.
There are games everywhere—including the kind that you can join; there are real darts, shuffle board, putt-putt, and fun electronic games, too, including Buzz Time. Rooster’s has tablets available, and you can join in on your own phone. And if that’s not enough for you, the place offers Control Play for a complete Internet music experience.

But there’s a lot more to Rooster’s than just fun and games. Good times need good food, and this place has it in spades. Rooster’s New York Style Pizza is the real deal with a crispy crust that’s cooked on stone in a brick oven. They make their own crust and chop their own vegetables, so from top to bottom it’s a delicious, homemade experience. Rooster’s puts a lot of effort into offering good eats—their jumbo chicken wings, ribs, and pulled pork are all smoked in-house. They offer a full menu that includes great salads, wraps and more.

To top everything off, Rooster’s has the coldest beer around—it comes out of the tap at 33-34 degrees Fahrenheit. There are about 24 beers on tap including a selection of craft beers, local brews and imports, with even more available by the bottle. There’s a full-bar, too.

Weeknights from 4–11 p.m. feature some great half-price specials: Monday night it’s appetizers; Tuesday, wings; and Wednesday, pizza. Plus Tuesday is pint night, so you can score some swag in the form of a free pint glass when you order the selected brew. Wednesday is also Trivia time, and Thursdays are always Ladies’ Night. And if that weren’t enough, there’s a happy hour from 4-7 p.m. every day of the week. So, if your life doesn’t include any fun or relaxation, then you just haven’t found Rooster’s. Better fix that soon—you’ll be glad you did.
