Born out of the 1986 Memphis in May barbeque contest, Mr. Bob-E-Que serves hickory-smoked barbeque, smoked prime rib and award-winning sauce and rub. The restaurant showcases constant daily lunch specials and nightly specials that change depending on the day of the week. Nightly special entrees include, among others, Mississippi-farmraised catfish on Saturday nights and a Hog Heaven combination plate of ribs, smoked sausage, pork, two side items and Texas toast. Seniors 55-years-old and up get a 10 percent discount and free drink on Monday nights, while family night is Wednesday night.
