Inhabiting a former gas station off Maryville Pike, Love That BBQ is the perfect roadside hole-in-the-wall barbecue. Owned by Vestal native Walter "Boss Hog" Love and his wife Bonny, Love That BBQ puts a lot of care into their 'cue—marinating their meats before smoking them, and making their own sauces. There's pork, chicken, brisket as well as smoked sausage and bologna. Be sure to try the homemade sides, too—especially the hushpuppies and the beans. And if you're lucky, the banana pudding will have been made with Nutter Butter cookies instead of Nilla Wafers.
