From YUMMM!, the Metro Pulse restaurant guide:

Just saying the name of this restaurant summons memories of the victories and good times you’ve shared around the Big Orange gridiron. It’s a part of the experience of campus tradition that you hand down from generation to generation because it’s just that good. It’s about the thrill of a game shared with friends and family and memories that take you back to carefree days and unpredictable nights. The Goal Post Tavern guards those traditions and keeps them all safe and ready for you every time you sit down at the bar for a cold one or revisit favorite foods with old friends.

At the Goal Post, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere that’s filled with fun, good food, and more. You can enjoy your favorite game or sporting event on their big screen TVs or work on your own competitive edge on the pool table or any of the other games in the game room.

Of course, GPT offers good Happy Hour specials to help you celebrate whatever it is you celebrate or to just help with end of the work day relaxation.

But one of the best ways to make new memories and experience old ones is through sharing good food with the ones you love. The food at Goal Post stays in touch with some of the oldest traditions of the strip. If you haven’t had their metts and beans, then you’re missing a campus favorite that dates to 1939. An order of their famous cheese bings might take you on a walk down memory lane if you’re not too preoccupied with how good they still taste.

The food here is good, solid fare that’s easy for your gang to enjoy; that’s especially true with the $6 lunch menu, but the food is good anytime. The chicken is hand breaded to order—and on Wednesday, chicken sandwiches are only $6. But you may find it tough to pass up a burger, after all this is the home of the Goal Post; it, and all the burgers consist of a half-pound of Black Angus Beef served on English muffins with a delicious array of toppings including country bacon and pepperoni.

Whether you aim to visit old memories, make new ones, or just enjoy a cold beer or a hot meal, Goal Post Tavern offers a comfortable place to do it all.

Sunday: Open only on home-game weekends or other special events (also available for private parties).
