My husband and I found this Indian Restaurant after a search on Google. It has been open for only a few months so there were not very many reviews, but we took a chance and are very glad that we did. The food was excellent!
My husband is originally from India so he is a little bit of a critic when it comes to Indian food in Knoxville, and we found the best food and service at Dawat.
We went for the buffet and every item was very fresh with quality ingredients. We are so happy to find a great place that offers us a traditional buffet and does not cut corners like some of the other Indian Restaurants in Knoxville.
The service was very good too. Fresh Nan was brought to our table along with other items that were not part of the buffet. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our water glass was always full and our plates were taken right away so we could visit the buffet for another round of great food. Dawat also had a nice selection of beer and wine.
We will be going back next week.
