If there’s one restaurant in town that’s nationally famous, then it’s certainly Calhoun’s. The restaurant’s signature hickory smoked baby-back ribs won a “Best in America” title at the National Ribs Cookoff soon after Calhoun’s opened in 1983—and it’s been on a roll ever since, becoming a perennial Best of Knoxville winner for both its ribs and its barbecue (they claimed Best Ribs again this year). But the menu offers other specialties like fried Southern catfish, grilled steaks, chicken and seafood, too. This Calhoun's is right on the water's edge overlooking one of Tennessee's largest marinas, and it offers spectacular views of Fort Loudon Lake and free boat docking at the deck. They have two outdoor bars as well as an inside bar. Plenty of free parking. May through September, they feature live entertainment at the “Tiki Hut” Friday through Sunday nights.

Went there tonight with friends. worst service I have ever encountered. I had to go to the bar to get my drinks as a waiter/waitress was not coming to our table. I waited 20 minutes before going to the bar. At least 35 minutes for a food order of a burger and baked beans and they messed the order up. Will not be going back
