  • Four-legged charge: Horse Haven, located in West Knoxville, is the first and largest equine humane organization in Tennessee, taking in cases such as this malnourished horse.
  • Labor of love: More than 250 abused and neglected horses have passed through the Horse Haven system since it was founded in 1999.

The West Knoxville group offers a refuge for abused and neglected equines from around the state.
