  • MAN AND MACHINE: Although there were earlier electronic music instruments, Robert Moog’s invention was the first modular synthesizer, providing a much smaller system with unique sound-making qualities.

Armed with a grant from the Grammy Foundation, the Bob Moog Foundation has hired Knoxville sound guru Seva David Ball to preserve the recorded history of the synthesizer.
