EXPERIMENTAL RADIO DAYS: Dennis Palmer of Chattanooga’s Shaking Ray Levis performs on the Moog Liberation (the first commercially produced “keytar” synth) on WUOT’s Un-Radio, circa mid-’80s.
Armed with a grant from the Grammy Foundation, the Bob Moog Foundation has hired Knoxville sound guru Seva David Ball to preserve the recorded history of the synthesizer.
