Bob Wilson and Annette Anderson, both retired planning professionals, took the initiative to get their unusually structured West Hills home, designed by Bruce McCarty in 1954, on the National Register of Historic Places. It was approved earlier this year. No other local building has earned that distinction in the lifetime of its architect.
