University of Tennessee professor John Nolt has been an outspoken and very visible opponent of TVA’s nuclear program for decades, but climate change data over recent years has softened some of his views: “I used to think we could do it all with renewables, and at some point we may, but in practical terms it’s not going to happen in the next 20 years.”
