FIXING STUPID: Steve Scarborough, a Roane county resident and property owner, spoke in favor of strict federal regulation of coal ash at the People’s Coal Ash Hearing on Sept. 2. He said he believes three acts best illustrate profound human stupidity—starting wars, engaging in unprotected sex with strangers, and digging up coal from underground.
