Saw Works Brewing Company
• about the concept
We chose a more graphic heavy design, utilizing the Saw Works theme of saw blades, strong color, and classic, eye catching lettering. We set out to create a box that will look good anywhere from 10 inches away and 10 feet away.
• About the sponsor
From its world headquarters in Knoxville, Saw Works Brewing Company expertly crafts exceptional beers, including its signature English Pale Ale and its robust Brown Ale. You'll find Saw Works on tap at many of the area's best bars and restaurants, and the tasting room at The Mill at Saw Works is open to the public four days a week. (The Mill is also available for rental for private events.) To get a behind the scenes look– and pick up your own commemorative pint glass – join one of the twice-weekly tours of Saw Works, or go online anytime to purchase Saw Works' official glassware, beanies, ball hats and logo T-shirts.
THE MILL HOURS: Wed. - Fri. 4 - 8 p.m.; Sat. 2 - 8 p.m.
• About the artist
I am a firefighter/paramedic in Knox County. I have been painting, predominantly in oils, for around seven years. This is my third project for Saw Works Brewing Company including the large mural I painted for them at Barley's. I am mostly self taught, but am currently studying with Seth Haverkamp, furthering my realistic approach to portraiture and still life. I have had work shown in a few shows around town, including the 2013 Dogwood Arts Festival Regional Fine Arts show at the Emporium this past april and a solo show at the Bijou Theatre in October of 2010.
