Howard: Comments made at the hearing by Mayor Rogero, Vice Mayor Pavlis, and other speakers who oppose the parkway have compelled me to present this question to the City Council: Where is your plan to fix Chapman Highway?

McFadden: City leaders should devote their time to finding a way to stimulate economic investment in East Knoxville. While national chain restaurants proliferate in West Knoxville, the east side remains a vast wasteland.

Wests: National chains were not and are not the pioneers of downtown revitalization, nor are they the catalysts of downtown Knoxville growth.
