'The Stan Brock Story' Seeks Crowd-Funding

Knox Crowd-Funding Project of the Month:

Medicine Man: The Stan Brock Story

By any measure, Stan Brock has an amazing story to tell, from being host of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom to directing Remote Area Medical, the Knoxville-based health care relief organization that puts on pop-up free medical clinics. Isn’t it about time that story was told? That’s what documentary filmmakers Paul Michael Angell and Tom Goudsmit aim to do. “Our film asks what fuels this 78 year-old Englishman superman with the stamina of a 25 year-old; a man more accustomed to the savannas of The Amazon and the Smokey [sic] Mountains of Tennessee, than his homeland of the United Kingdom? And why has he chosen to devote his life to bringing decent free health services to the people of America?” they write on their Indiegogo campaign page. They seek to raise $40,000 in order to follow Brock for four weeks, filming his lobbying efforts in Washington D.C. and his work here in Knoxville. Do these the filmmakers deserve your donations?
