Parking Within Walking Distance

“Free parking downtown accessible to those with disabilities that make it tough to walk very far—wide spaces close enough to the desired location to be of help. My son and I tried to go to Market Square a few weeks ago for lunch. With construction on Gay, there were no spaces within walking distance for me. We ate in the ’burbs instead.”

—Gary Harmon, Knox County teacher, speaker on disability issues, and author of the kids book My Daddy Takes His Legs Off
