TCAP Scores Go on the Shelf?

The TCAP scores for Knox County arrived too late to be averaged in with student grades, but does that mean they won’t have other uses? Like being used for teacher evaluations in the fall?

The late TCAP scores, called the quick score, are not used for teacher evaluations. More detailed criteria, including gains by the pupils, will be available in June and the end of July. Those are the scores used for teacher evaluations. It’s a bit complicated but teachers can pick which scores count for which percent of the evaluation process.

The upshot is that the late TCAP scores are really not going to be used for anything.
