More Than Bricks on Our Walls

“I’d like to see more murals in Knoxville. I liked seeing the one outside the tourism center on a recent visit home and I’d appreciate seeing more murals—ones that portray more of Knoxville’s history, artists, crafts, and details. More than just mountains and photogenic musicians. Maybe even authors or artists or neighborhood stories or pollution or Civil Rights protests or other parts of our town’s story that don’t always get the spotlight.”

—Lucy Hall, Knoxville resident from 1988-2006 now residing in Chicago
