Volunteer Chief to Retire

The longtime director of Volunteer Ministries plans to retire this year and the board has set up a search committee to find a replacement.

Ginny Weatherstone, who has spent 17 years with the non-profit organization helping care for the homeless, plans to retire at the end of August, but the board is seeking to have a new director in place when she leaves.

In recent years, the agency has been focusing on finding permanent housing for the homeless and providing support services. It operates Minvilla Manor on Broadway, a 57-unit rent subsidized complex.
