AC Entertainment Expands Its Empire to Nashville

AC Entertainment’s music-business empire is expanding to the west. The Knoxville music promoter announced last week that the company will take over booking for two of Nashville’s most prestigious venues—the new Marathon Music Works, which opened in 2011, and the venerable Exit/In nightclub, which has been open since 1971.

“We have been working with Marathon Music Works since they first opened and have enjoyed a great working relationship with the team there,” AC Entertainment CEO Ashley Capps says in a press release. “We are delighted to be named their exclusive national talent buyers. And of course, the Exit/In is an iconic place—a huge part of my own musical education.”

AC Entertainment operates both the Tennessee Theatre and the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville and produces the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., every summer. The company also books concerts at the Orange Peel in Asheville, N.C., and Track 29 in Chattanooga.
