This Week at Pilot: Ownership to be Maintained

An ESPN reporter in Cleveland, quoted by NBC Sports, says the NFL has a contingency plan in place “in the event of an indictment” to maintain Jimmy Haslam’s ownership of the Cleveland Browns during the legal process.

Haslam’s Pilot Flying J was raided by the FBI and some employees have pleaded guilty to participating in a scheme to short trucking companies rebates they were owed. Haslam had denied any knowledge of the scheme and he declined comment to ESPN.

The company is the subject of class-action lawsuits in several states based on information in an FBI search warrant.
