Could we establish once and for all that the event is (or at least should be) called “Night of a Thousand Dollys” and not “Night of a Thousand Dollies”?

Rules for pluralizing nouns, such as one bunny or three bunnies, do not apply to proper nouns. If you were to visit Disney World and saw numerous people in Mickey Mouse costumes, those would be a lot of Mickeys, not Mickies.

Hence, female impersonators of Dolly Parton are Dollys.

Yeah, yeah, I know it shouldn’t bother me that much, but it just does.
