The FBI Transcripts: Cast of Characters

This isn’t a full list of everyone who may have been involved in the rebate fraud, or even everyone listed in the affidavit, but this should help you keep your names straight while reading the conversations in the FBI's transcripts of recorded conversations of Pilot Flying J employees.

Chris Andrews: Regional Sales Manager; works remotely and lives in Dallas, Texas.

Vickie Borden: Director of Wholesale and Inside Sales; Knoxville office.

Karen Crutchman: Senior Account Representative; Knoxville office.

Scott Fenwick: Regional Sales Manager; works remotely and lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.

John “Stick” Freeman: Vice President of Sales; Knoxville office.

Cathy Giesick: Former Pilot employee turned confidential informant; Texas.

CHS-2: A Regional Director of Sales; works remotely in Bedford, Texas.

Kevin Hanscomb: Director of Sales for the East Region; works from home in Nashville, Tenn.

James A. “Jimmy” Haslam, III: CEO (and partial company owner); Knoxville office. Owner of Cleveland Browns, brother of Gov. Bill Haslam, son of Pilot founder James A. “Big Jim” Haslam II.

Mark Hazelwood: President; Knoxville office.

Lori McFarland: Pilot Discount Coordinator; Knoxville office.

Brian Mosher: Director of Sales for National Accounts; works remotely and lives in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Jacqui Pearl: Pilot Regional Sales Manager; works remotely and lives in Chicago, Ill. Bruce Pearl’s daughter.

Arnie Ralenkotter: Director of Sales for the Northeast Region; works remotely and lives in Hebron, Ky.

Mitch Steenrod: Chief Financial Officer; Knoxville office.

Jay Stinnett: Regional Sales Manager and sometimes Pilot spokesperson; Knoxville office.

Janet Welch: Regional Account Representative; Knoxville office.

Scott “Scooter” Wombold: Vice President of National Accounts; Knoxville office.
